64 pictures for your viewing pleasure...

Aunt Chelsea and Uncle Ryan formally asked Natalie and Nick to be in their wedding.  This was Nick's gift for being ring bearer.  He said YES!

Chase and I celebrated 9 years of marriage waaaaaaaaaay back in March.  The restaurant sprinkled the table with these little hearts in honor of our celebration.

Nori keeps on growing....

This is what happens when you don't listen to your mommy and you continue to jump on your bed when she's asked you not to.  When you sneak into your room, thinking she doesn't know, and jump as much as you can.  I think she thought I was joking when I warned her she'd break it.

Natalie's 3-year-old class at The Merry Hearts preschool.

Slightly worried a gig with Sports Illustrated may be in our future.

'sup baby?

Nori eats socks.  And wash cloths.  And baby wipes.  And underwear.  This is Nori prepped for emergency surgery after an ER trip during which a blockage was spotted in her intestines.  Fortunately, her regular vet took a more casual approach and she eventually ended up passing the blockage.  At last count she had eaten 16 socks, countless baby wipes (we figured out that she goes into Nick's room and helps herself), 3 wash cloths, and 2 pairs of grundy undies.  But I stopped counting last week...

Aren't Cyndy's kiddos cute?  This is Ceilidh and Graeme, little miss Jane must have been feeling shy.

Safety first.

Due to Nori's love of eating fabrics we had to get her a basket muzzle.  Which was a pain in the butt because they're considered inhumane.  Apparently people in dog fighting rings use them to starve their bait dogs, so you can only get them from specialty stores.  The lady at Petsmart looked at me like I was the devil when I asked for one.  Oh well, it's for your own good, Nori girl.

Oh look!  Me!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, Nick poo'd in the potty.  Only once, but still it was cause to celebrate.

First Friday in downtown Southern Pines.

I have a lady that bakes all my special occasion cakes (because I'm lazy and untalented).  She has recently started a charity; she asks for nominations of people who deserve a cake.  I nominated my grandmother because she has had a hard time since David's death.  She won!

For teacher appreciation week a few parents volunteered to take over "extended day" so the teachers could have a luncheon on us.  One of the perks of your mom helping out is Chic-fil-a!

It's in her genes .

Don't know what I'd do without their help!

"Look what Daddy taught me!"

In true Blanton child fashion, Nori is an imp.

Poor Nick got a wicked stomach bug last week.  Poor babysitter, too.  She was here with him when the hammer fell.  No one wants that phone call from the sitter!  I was so worried that Natalie would catch it, I was trying my best to keep them separated, and Nick quarantined to certain areas.  I was in full biohazard apocalypse mode and was bleaching EVERYTHING.  But I just could not keep them away from each other.  She was so worried about him and he was so comforted by her.  He felt absolutely miserable for a little over a day and wanted her.  I came out of the laundry room and found them like this.  She sat with him and rubbed his back for an hour.

Yucky "emesis bags" on the side table.  It was definitely NOT a fun time.
One sunny afternoon, as I was tidying up, I walked into Nick's room and smelled poo.  I searched high and low and could not locate the source of the stench.  Suddenly, I got a sinking fear that it was on the train table... that's the only place I hadn't looked.  I even pulled the sheets back on the bed!  There it was, smack in the middle of Thomas the Train's little world.  I immediately blamed the kids for picking up dog poo and shoved their little hands under the faucet, scrubbing them almost raw.  It's actually comical in retrospect "Mommy I promise I didn't picked up poo poo!!!!"  The next day, I caught Nori in the act.  Disgusting.

Natalie got to go to the O'Brien's farm and ride their miniature horse, Chatterbox.  Despite the fact that they have about seven incredibly gorgeous (and extremely valuable) Irish Thoroughbreds, poor one eyed Chatterbox was her FAVORITE!

Natalie has been waking up rather early lately.  I feel ya, girl.

This is our "Daddy Chain" each link represents a day :(

I don't know what it is about children singing, but I just cannot get through it without crying my eyes out.  All the pictures I got of Natalie's "graduation" from her 3-year-old class are blurry, probably because my eyes were too.

We had some technical difficulties with the phone.  Chase was helping me and asked me to send him pictures so he could see what I was talking about.  Natalie was happy to act out the problem.

Can't figure this out, Dad.

So it goes somewhere in here, you say?

Got it, thanks!!!
