Natalie slept through the night!

Last night I joined a girlfriend of mine for dinner at Chili's. I was a bit nervous because Natalie has a tendency to be a little fussy in the evenings, but it went great! She looked around for about an hour, taking in all the sights and sounds and after a while she quietly fell asleep. Once we got home she slept until about 9:00, I changed her diaper and nursed her, put her down and she slept until 6:45 this morning! What a terrific little baby! Also, I always put her head towards the right side of her crib and this morning she woke up with her head at the left side! She had turned herself all the way around! Funny girl!

Jogging Stroller

So today I FINALLY got the opportunity to step out with the jogging stroller. I loved it! I decided to start off with a face paced walk just to get myself used to it; Natalie was such an angel! She slept the first half of the walk and was awake and happily looking around the second half. We got an hour walk! It was wonderful! Weather permitting, we'll be venturing out every day!

2 months old!

It's been a while since I've been able to update, I promise I'll be better.

Natalie was 2 months on the 18th. I can't believe she's been here that long already! She weighs 13 pounds and is sleeping so well at night! Last night she slept from 10:30 until 7:45! She's such a perfect baby!

When Father met Daughter

Last Monday was a great day. Seeing Chase after 8 months of separation was surreal. He was taller than I remembered and I couldn't get over how familiar being with him felt. It didn't take long before we were back in the swing of things with our normal every day routine. With one exception... Natalie. It was so sweet when Chase and Natalie met for the first time. He looked at her like he'd known her all his life. Chase has really taken to being a father, too. He's such a big help, he changes diapers, rocks her to sleep and helps me with all the housework. I'm really going to miss having him here with me.

Natalie's First Halloween

Halloween was pretty uneventful for us. Only three sets of Trick-or-Treaters... bummer. Natalie was super cute in her first Halloween outfit... it's crazy to think that this time next year we'll be going door to door!

I caved

So I never thought I'd be a "blogger", and here I am. With Chase and my decision to keep photos of Natalie off of facebook, this just seems like the simplest way to update friends and family. Hope you enjoy!

Natalie is 10 days old and is doing really well. First Health sends and Home Health nurse by in the first few weeks of a newborn's life, and Natalie had her visit today. Typically, newborn babies gain their birth weight back by the end of their second week... Natalie is already 3.5 ounces up! That's terrific! She'll sleep for 3-4 even 5 hour stretches sometimes, which used to concern me a little. However, the nurse and doctors agree... if she's gaining weight, she's fine! They say I might be one of the lucky ones... keep your fingers crossed!
