Holy Picture Update, Batman!

Took Mom to see Rodney Crowell, Richard Thompson and Emmylou Harris for her birthday.  It was an amazing concert!
Mom took Natalie to gymnastics this spring.  She loved it, but we won't be going back... the place was beyond filthy and they were less than stellar at monitoring the children.

"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference."
Winston Churchill

Easter outfit thanks to Mom!

Natalie wanted blue hair.  So she got blue hair!

She was not too happy about wearing my old school uniform to church one day.

The children in Natalie's preschool class planted flowers for their mothers on Mother's Day.  Except Natalie.  She planted me a lima bean.

On our way to pick up our "play date", aka: Daddy.  I didn't want to tell her who was coming home that day.  The Army isn't very reliable with flights and dates.

Natalie's very first ballet performance.

An old friend of mine, Mary.

Nick doesn't like the vacuum.

Took the kids swimming at the pool I grew up and worked my first job as a lifeguard.

Chase's troop.

Natalie earned a timeout one morning and Nick decided to do it with her.  He pushed his chair up next to her and sat down.  Sweetness.

Movies with Grandmom and GG.

Natalie asked to spend the night at Grandmom's a few weekends back and I let her.  I was actually really sad and the house felt incredibly empty without her here.  I was really happy when the phone rang at midnight because Natalie was ready to come home.
Natalie captured this gem.

Natalie had a blast at vacation bible school!

Poor Nick had a really rough bout of croup, we made three trips to the doctor and one ER trip in under 48 hours.  Poor thing will have a steroid inhaler this fall to hopefully help ward off any more respiratory infections.  It was very scary.

He didn't like have his heart rate and saturation monitored, so the nurse taped it to his toe and zipped him up!

We somehow were the lucky recipients of a faulty pack of Huggies.  Literally every diaper I put on his bottom he leaked through, and I'm not talking little dribbles.... I'm talking puddles.  This particular day we were going to the grocery store and I changed him before we left home.  When we left the store he was soaked all up his back, which earned him some impromptu nekkie time.

Mom built them a tent.  It last about 15 seconds.

He fell asleep licking his lollipop.  And to you car seat nazis out there, yes, I know his straps are too high.  Due to ridiculous, random, and completely frustrating circumstances it was this or nothing.

View of the fireworks off the back porch of Papa's new mountain home!  When I was a little girl I mentioned to him that I wanted a swimming pool and I swear there was a backhoe in his yard the next day.  Natalie asked him to buy her Tweetsie Railroad.... so he did the next best thing.  Bought her a mountain house as close to Tweetsie as you can get!

I love his curls.

Natalie made a movie theater and of course Nick had to sit in the back.

The Candy Barrel, aka kid heaven.

For right now we don't think the kids will do well sleeping in the same room,  so Natalie has this super awesome blow up bed!
