I learn a lot from watching children's TV.
OK, please don't think I'm an idiot.... BUUUUUUT
I learned what "hanging ten" meant from Yo Gabba Gabba, I've learned a lot about history from Barney, I've learned a lot about grammar from "Between the Lions" and I've learned a lot about vocabulary from "Martha Speaks". Most importantly, though, I've learned a lot about how to teach Natalie.
So I don't think letting Natalie watch TV is a bad thing at all. I'm definitely never going to use the TV as a babysitter, but I don't think I'm going to be excessive in my TV limitations. As long as she gets out of the house, gets exercise, plays with toys and socializes I don't see how it hurts (I know I know... I've read what the "experts" have said).
